The Czech Republic represented the main exporting country with an export of about X tons, which finished at 45% of total exports. Slovakia (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Poland (X tons) and Belarus (X tons). All these countries together took near 45% share of total exports. The following exporters - Romania (X tons) and Russia (X tons) - each recorded a 7.4% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Belarus (with a CAGR of +61.9%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest melamine resins supplying countries in Eastern Europe were the Czech Republic ($X), Poland ($X) and Slovakia ($X), together accounting for 66% of total exports. These countries were followed by Romania, Belarus and Russia, which together accounted for a further 28%.
Belarus, with a CAGR of +51.9%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per ton, jumping by 45% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($X per ton), while Slovakia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+3.6%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, supplies from abroad of melamine resins in primary forms increased by 18% to X tons, rising for the third year in a row after two years of decline. Overall, imports enjoyed a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 40%. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, melamine resins imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +9.5% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +105.0% against 2015 indices. From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Bulgaria (with a CAGR of +46.4%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest melamine resins importing markets in Eastern Europe were Poland ($X), Russia ($X) and Hungary ($X), with a combined 57% share of total imports. Bulgaria, Latvia, Ukraine and Belarus lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 27%.
