Exports by Country
Poland was the key exporting country with an export of around X units, which accounted for 57% of total exports. Russia (X units) ranks second in terms of the total exports with an 18% share, followed by Latvia (7.3%) and Estonia (5.5%). The following exporters - Slovakia (X units), Lithuania (X units) and Hungary (X units) - together made up 11% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to motor boat exports from Poland stood at +21.0%. At the same time, Latvia (+49.4%), Lithuania (+22.9%), Hungary (+13.9%), Russia (+12.9%) and Slovakia (+7.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Latvia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of +49.4% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Estonia (-1.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Poland (+24 p.p.), Latvia (+6.7 p.p.) and Lithuania (+2.1 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Russia, Slovakia and Estonia saw its share reduced by -1.5%, -2.9% and -15.7% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest motor boat supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 71% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Lithuania ($X), with a 14% share of total exports. It was followed by Estonia, with a 5.2% share.
In Poland, motor boat exports expanded at an average annual rate of +25.6% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Lithuania (+37.1% per year) and Estonia (-2.3% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, jumping by 20% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2021, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.8%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 when the export price increased by 23%. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($X per unit), while Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Belarus (X units), Slovakia (X units), Hungary (X units), Latvia (X units), Lithuania (X units), Estonia (X units), Bulgaria (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to motor boat imports into Russia stood at +6.5%. At the same time, Romania (+28.2%), Slovakia (+25.4%), Latvia (+15.4%), Hungary (+11.4%), Ukraine (+7.2%), Estonia (+7.0%), Lithuania (+6.5%), Poland (+4.3%) and the Czech Republic (+3.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Romania emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of +28.2% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Bulgaria (-2.2%) and Belarus (-3.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Romania, Slovakia and Latvia increased by +3.9, +3.4 and +1.8 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported motor boats and motor yachts, for pleasure or sports in Eastern Europe, comprising 58% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Poland ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by Estonia, with a 5.1% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia stood at +4.1%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Poland (+15.7% per year) and Estonia (+22.8% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, growing by 4.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the import price increased by 46%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Estonia ($X per unit), while Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
