In 2022, Poland (X tons), Estonia (X tons) and Slovakia (X tons) was the main exporter of naphthalene and other aromatic hydrocarbon mixtures in Eastern Europe, making up 77% of total export. It was distantly followed by Hungary (X tons), mixing up a 10% share of total exports. Ukraine (X tons), Lithuania (X tons) and Belarus (X tons) held a little share of total exports.

Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2021, and then declined markedly in the following year.

In value terms, aromatic hydrocarbon mixtures imports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a buoyant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 111% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.

In 2022, Estonia (X tons) represented the key importer of naphthalene and other aromatic hydrocarbon mixtures, constituting 42% of total imports.
