In value terms, non-domestic dishwashing machine exports fell slightly to $X in 2022. In general, exports showed a strong expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 66% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then fell in the following year.

In 2022, Poland (X units) was the major exporter of non-domestic dish-washing machines, mixing up 66% of total exports. It was distantly followed by the Czech Republic (X units), Slovakia (X units) and Lithuania (X units), together achieving a 29% share of total exports. Russia (X units) held a little share of total exports.

Poland was also the fastest-growing in terms of the non-domestic dish-washing machines exports, with a CAGR of +37.5% from 2012 to 2022. In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest non-domestic dishwashing machine supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 71% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Lithuania ($X), with a 9.7% share of total exports. It was followed by Slovakia, with a 6.2% share.

In Poland, non-domestic dishwashing machine exports increased at an average annual rate of +31.7% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Lithuania (+3.0% per year) and Slovakia (-4.0% per year).

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+9.4%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

Imports in Eastern Europe

In 2022, the amount of non-domestic dish-washing machines imported in Eastern Europe contracted to X units, reducing by -12.3% against the previous year. Total imports indicated measured growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by 36%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X units in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.

In value terms, non-domestic dishwashing machine imports fell slightly to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.6% over the last decade. From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Hungary (with a CAGR of +25.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Russia ($X), the Czech Republic ($X) and Poland ($X) constituted the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, together comprising 63% of total imports. Lithuania, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 27%.

Hungary, with a CAGR of +15.0%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, growing by 8.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the import price increased by 44%. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Hungary ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
