Among the main exporting countries, Slovakia, with a CAGR of +53.7%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per ton, with a decrease of -13.5% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a perceptible shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the export price increased by 29%. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while Slovakia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Russia represented the main importer of non-medical x-rays in Eastern Europe, with the volume of imports recording X tons, which was near 43% of total imports in 2021. Poland (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 26% share, followed by the Czech Republic (8.4%) and Romania (6.8%). The following importers - Ukraine (X tons), Belarus (X tons) and Lithuania (X tons) - together made up 11% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Belarus (with a CAGR of +27.1%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Russia ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported non-medical x-rays in Eastern Europe, comprising 48% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the Czech Republic ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Poland, with a 14% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Russia stood at +1.5%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the Czech Republic (+5.2% per year) and Poland (+8.7% per year).
