Slovakia (X units) and Estonia (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Belarus was also the fastest-growing in terms of the percussion musical instruments exports, with a CAGR of +120.0% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Russia (+51.2%), Poland (+50.9%), Lithuania (+20.5%), Slovakia (+10.8%), the Czech Republic (+8.3%) and Estonia (+1.1%) displayed positive paces of growth. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Belarus, Poland and Russia increased by +41, +13 and +9.4 percentage points, respectively.

In value terms, Russia ($X) remains the largest percussion musical instrument supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 43% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Poland ($X), with a 17% share of total exports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with a 16% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Russia stood at +51.1%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Poland (+57.6% per year) and the Czech Republic (+14.5% per year).

In 2022, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, waning by -16.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, showed a noticeable increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the export price increased by 65% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of percussion musical instruments increased by 33% to X units, rising for the sixth consecutive year after two years of decline. In general, imports showed a strong expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 69% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, percussion musical instrument imports expanded significantly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a buoyant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 31% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, Russia (X units), distantly followed by the Czech Republic (X units), Poland (X units), Romania (X units), Slovakia (X units) and Hungary (X units) represented the largest importers of percussion musical instruments, together comprising 86% of total imports. Lithuania (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

In 2022, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, which is down by -18.4% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a deep downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 21%. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($X per unit), while Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Lithuania (-4.9%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
