In 2022, Poland (X units) represented the key exporter of photographic (other than cinematographic) cameras, creating 57% of total exports. The Czech Republic (X units) took the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Slovakia (X units) and Hungary (X units). All these countries together took approx. 38% share of total exports. Lithuania (X units) took a relatively small share of total exports.

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest photo camera supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 61% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the Czech Republic ($X), with a 16% share of total exports. It was followed by Slovakia, with a 12% share.

In Poland, photo camera exports increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Czech Republic (+10.0% per year) and Slovakia (+3.9% per year).

The volume of import peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, photo camera imports expanded markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a strong increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 290% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Poland (X units) was the largest importer of photographic (other than cinematographic) cameras, creating 50% of total imports.
