The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +33.9% against 2018 indices. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Poland stood at +10.5%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Czech Republic (+6.3% per year) and Hungary (+7.7% per year).

The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, jumping by 23% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while Russia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
