Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, polyacetals exports soared to $X in 2021. Total exports indicated a perceptible expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.5% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +88.8% against 2018 indices. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
In 2021, Poland (X tons), Slovakia (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) was the largest exporter of polyacetals in primary forms in Eastern Europe, comprising 75% of total export. It was distantly followed by Romania (X tons), mixing up a 12% share of total exports. The following exporters - Hungary (X tons), Bulgaria (X tons) and Russia (X tons) - together made up 10% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the leading exporting countries, was attained by Bulgaria (with a CAGR of +53.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest polyacetals supplying countries in Eastern Europe were Slovakia ($X), the Czech Republic ($X) and Poland ($X), together accounting for 72% of total exports. Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 26%.
In terms of the main exporting countries, Bulgaria, with a CAGR of +63.0%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, surging by 6.7% against the previous year. Over the last nine-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +4.2%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 22%. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($X per ton), while Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Bulgaria (+5.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the amount of polyacetals in primary forms imported in Eastern Europe surged to X tons, increasing by 31% compared with the previous year's figure. Total imports indicated a resilient expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.8% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, polyacetals imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a strong increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +7.0% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
In 2021, the Czech Republic (X tons), distantly followed by Poland (X tons), Hungary (X tons), Romania (X tons), Russia (X tons) and Slovakia (X tons) were the key importers of polyacetals in primary forms, together mixing up 93% of total imports. Bulgaria (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by Bulgaria (with a CAGR of +29.5%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the Czech Republic ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported polyacetals in primary forms in Eastern Europe, comprising 35% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Poland ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Romania, with a 13% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in the Czech Republic amounted to +5.0%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Poland (+10.0% per year) and Romania (+14.7% per year).

In 2021, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, major importing countries recorded the following prices: in Romania ($X per ton) and the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while Russia ($X per ton) and Hungary ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
