Poland represented the major exporter of polyamides (in primary forms) in Eastern Europe, with the volume of exports resulting at X tons, which was near 48% of total exports in 2021. Russia (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 28% share, followed by Belarus (14%). The following exporters - Slovakia (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) - each amounted to a 5.6% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Belarus (with a CAGR of +6.7%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest polyamide supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 52% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Russia ($X), with a 22% share of total exports. It was followed by Belarus, with a 13% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Poland totaled +6.5%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Russia (+0.4% per year) and Belarus (+5.3% per year).

In 2021, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per ton, surging by 36% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, polyamide imports surged to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.0% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Poland (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) were the main importers of polyamides (in primary forms) in Eastern Europe, together resulting at approx. 51% of total imports. Slovakia (X tons) ranks next in terms of the total imports with a 12% share, followed by Romania (10%), Hungary (8.4%) and Russia (6.5%). The following importers - Bulgaria (X tons) and Lithuania (X tons) - together made up 6.4% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Bulgaria (with a CAGR of +15.5%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest polyamide importing markets in Eastern Europe were Poland ($X), the Czech Republic ($X) and Romania ($X), together accounting for 64% of total imports. Slovakia, Hungary, Russia, Bulgaria and Lithuania lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 32%.
Among the main importing countries, Bulgaria, with a CAGR of +16.3%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, major importing countries recorded the following prices: in Romania ($X per ton) and the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while Lithuania ($X per ton) and Russia ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
