In value terms, polyethylene in primary forms exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Total exports indicated a remarkable increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +91.8% against 2019 indices. Russia represented the major exporter of polyethylene in primary forms in Eastern Europe, with the volume of exports resulting at X tons, which was near 41% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Hungary (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Slovakia (X tons), together achieving a 44% share of total exports. The following exporters - Belarus (X tons) and Lithuania (X tons) - together made up 7.5% of total exports.

Russia was also the fastest-growing in terms of the polyethylene in primary forms exports, with a CAGR of +17.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Lithuania (+14.9%), Slovakia (+7.0%), the Czech Republic (+3.2%) and Hungary (+2.6%) displayed positive paces of growth.
