In value terms, printers and copying machines exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In 2021, the Czech Republic (X units) represented the key exporter of printers, copying machines and facsimile machines, generating 55% of total exports. Poland (X units) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 22% share, followed by Slovakia (8.5%) and Hungary (5.3%). Russia (X units), Romania (X units) and Lithuania (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

In value terms, the largest printers and copying machines supplying countries in Eastern Europe were the Czech Republic ($X), Poland ($X) and Hungary ($X), with a combined 75% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Slovakia, Lithuania, Russia and Romania, which together accounted for a further 19%.

Romania, with a CAGR of +27.4%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, declining by -43.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a abrupt downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the export price increased by 39%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2019 to 2021, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($X per unit), while the Czech Republic ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
