Poland dominates exports structure, resulting at X units, which was near 84% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Lithuania (X units), committing a 5.1% share of total exports. The Czech Republic (X units), Romania (X units) and Hungary (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Poland was also the fastest-growing in terms of the pumps for dispensing liquids exports, with a CAGR of +73.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Lithuania (+57.0%), Romania (+34.2%), the Czech Republic (+22.1%) and Hungary (+9.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. While the share of Poland (+64 p.p.) and Lithuania (+2.3 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Romania (-4.2 p.p.), the Czech Republic (-19.7 p.p.) and Hungary (-26.9 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest liquid dispensing pump supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 78% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Romania ($X), with an 8.1% share of total exports. It was followed by Lithuania, with a 4.3% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Poland stood at +85.8%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Romania (+30.4% per year) and Lithuania (+26.3% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2021, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, increasing by 16% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a deep slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 99%. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

After four years of growth, purchases abroad of pumps for dispensing liquids decreased by -22.8% to X units in 2021. Overall, imports, however, posted a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 99%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units, and then contracted markedly in the following year.

In value terms, liquid dispensing pump imports fell to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 52%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

Poland represented the key importer of pumps for dispensing liquids in Eastern Europe, with the volume of imports accounting for X units, which was approx. 50% of total imports in 2021. At the same time, Lithuania (+45.1%), Hungary (+25.0%), Romania (+18.7%), Bulgaria (+16.5%), the Czech Republic (+11.0%) and Slovakia (+10.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Lithuania emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of +45.1% from 2012-2021. Lithuania (+8.6 p.p.), Romania (+5.8 p.p.), Poland (+5.5 p.p.) and Hungary (+4.4 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Poland ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported pumps for dispensing liquids in Eastern Europe, comprising 28% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Romania ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with a 10% share.

In Poland, liquid dispensing pump imports expanded at an average annual rate of +7.1% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Romania (-1.2% per year) and the Czech Republic (+4.4% per year).

The import price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, with an increase of 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a abrupt slump.
