Razor Market Size in Eastern Europe

In 2021, after three years of decline, there was significant growth in the East European razor market, when its value increased by 6.6% to $X. Over the period under review, consumption recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, consumption reached the peak level of $X. In 2021, Poland (X tons) was the main exporter of razors, committing 76% of total exports. It was distantly followed by the Czech Republic (X tons), achieving a 17% share of total exports. The following exporters - Russia (X tons) and Slovakia (X tons) - each reached a 5.5% share of total exports.

Poland was also the fastest-growing in terms of the razors exports, with a CAGR of +7.3% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, the Czech Republic (+4.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 47%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

The import price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, picking up by 11% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a slight downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 15%. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per ton), while Romania ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
