Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, textile rubber hose imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.6% over the period from 2012 to 2021; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations in certain years. The level of import peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, Russia (X tons), distantly followed by the Czech Republic (X tons), Poland (X tons), Hungary (X tons), Romania (X tons), Slovakia (X tons), Ukraine (X tons) and Belarus (X tons) represented the main importers of rubber hose reinforced with textiles, together achieving 97% of total imports.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when the import price increased by 10% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($X per ton), while Ukraine ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
