Exports from Poland increased at an average annual rate of +12.9% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Romania (+26.3%) and Hungary (+16.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Romania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of +26.3% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Bulgaria (-2.7%) and the Czech Republic (-29.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Poland, Hungary and Romania increased by +56, +9.4 and +8.9 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest knitted ski-suit supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 65% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Hungary ($X), with a 15% share of total exports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with an 8.1% share.

The Czech Republic (X units) held a 7% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Slovakia (6.8%). The following importers - Hungary (X units), Russia (X units) and Bulgaria (X units) - each recorded an 8.7% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Hungary (with a CAGR of +16.1%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest knitted ski-suit importing markets in Eastern Europe were Poland ($X), Romania ($X) and Slovakia ($X), with a combined 62% share of total imports. These countries were followed by the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Russia and Hungary, which together accounted for a further 33%.

Bulgaria, with a CAGR of +11.9%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
