In 2021, Poland (X units) was the largest exporter of sleeping bags, constituting 44% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Slovakia (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units), together committing a 33% share of total exports. Belarus (X units), Hungary (X units), Moldova (X units), Russia (X units), Bulgaria (X units) and Romania (X units) held a little share of total exports.
Exports from Poland increased at an average annual rate of +20.3% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Russia (+31.2%), Belarus (+20.1%), Hungary (+15.3%), Romania (+14.9%) and the Czech Republic (+9.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Russia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of +31.2% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Bulgaria (-3.0%), Slovakia (-4.6%) and Moldova (-6.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Poland, the Czech Republic, Belarus, Russia and Hungary increased by +30, +3.7, +3, +2.9 and +2.1 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the largest sleeping bag supplying countries in Eastern Europe were Poland ($X), Slovakia ($X) and the Czech Republic ($X), together accounting for 82% of total exports. Moldova, Hungary, Belarus, Russia, Bulgaria and Romania lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 16%.
Among the main exporting countries, Russia, with a CAGR of +24.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the export price increased by 36% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the maximum in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Moldova ($X per unit), while Bulgaria ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovakia (+11.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import price indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.2% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, sleeping bag import price increased by +41.7% against 2013 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the import price increased by 27%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the peak figure at $X per unit in 2020, and then dropped modestly in the following year.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($X per unit), while Hungary ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
