In value terms, hand stamp exports fell to $X in 2022. In general, exports enjoyed a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 46% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2021, and then reduced slightly in the following year.

The biggest shipments were from Romania (X units), the Czech Republic (X units) and Poland (X units), together reaching 92% of total export. Slovakia (X units) and Hungary (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

In 2022, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, waning by -16.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when the export price increased by 37% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2021, and then shrank sharply in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($X per unit), while Hungary ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Imports in Eastern Europe
In 2022, the amount of stamps for use in the hand imported in Eastern Europe reduced to X units, with a decrease of -1.6% on the previous year's figure. Total imports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +7.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +7.1% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 38%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, Poland (X units) and Russia (X units) were the major importers of stamps for use in the hand in Eastern Europe, together creating 63% of total imports. The Czech Republic (X units) took an 11% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Hungary (9.2%) and Romania (5.9%). Ukraine (X units), Slovakia (X units) and Bulgaria (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by Hungary (with a CAGR of +14.7%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Poland ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported stamps for use in the hand in Eastern Europe, comprising 42% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Russia ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with a 13% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Poland stood at +10.8%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Russia (+7.7% per year) and the Czech Republic (+0.4% per year).
