Slovakia (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units) prevails in exports structure, together committing 78% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Poland (X units), committing a 6% share of total exports. The following exporters - Russia (X units), Hungary (X units), Lithuania (X units) and Romania (X units) - together made up 13% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the leading exporting countries, was attained by Slovakia (with a CAGR of +52.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest steam blasting machine supplying countries in Eastern Europe were Slovakia ($X), Poland ($X) and the Czech Republic ($X), with a combined 68% share of total exports.

Among the main exporting countries, Slovakia, with a CAGR of +53.0%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Poland (X units) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 17% share, followed by Slovakia (13%), the Czech Republic (6.9%) and Ukraine (5.9%). The following importers - Hungary (X units) and Romania (X units) - each finished at a 6.8% share of total imports.

Imports into Russia increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Slovakia (+31.6%), Poland (+9.6%), Hungary (+8.3%) and the Czech Republic (+8.3%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Slovakia emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of +31.6% from 2012-2021. Ukraine experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Romania (-3.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Slovakia (+11 p.p.), Poland (+5.3 p.p.) and the Czech Republic (+1.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Ukraine (-2.8 p.p.), Romania (-4.3 p.p.) and Russia (-14.2 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest steam blasting machine importing markets in Eastern Europe were Russia ($X), Poland ($X) and Slovakia ($X), together comprising 64% of total imports.

In terms of the main importing countries, Slovakia, with a CAGR of +30.0%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2021, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 3.8% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a mild decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 14%. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($X per unit), while Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
