The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +90.8% against 2015 indices. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, Ukraine (X tons), distantly followed by Slovakia (X tons), Russia (X tons), Poland (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons) and Romania (X tons) were the largest exporters of tools of wood, together mixing up 91% of total exports. Latvia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Slovakia (X tons) took the next position in the ranking, followed by Belarus (X tons), Russia (X tons), Moldova (X tons) and Hungary (X tons). All these countries together held near 34% share of total imports.
