The Czech Republic (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 15% share, followed by Poland (13%), Slovakia (8.8%) and Ukraine (6.6%). The following importers - Romania (X tons) and Hungary (X tons) - each finished at a 7.7% share of total imports.

Among the main importing countries, the Czech Republic, with a CAGR of +13.6%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The import price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, picking up by 2.8% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a notable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the import price increased by 156%. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
