As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Poland (X units), Romania (X units), Hungary (X units), the Czech Republic (X units) and Russia (X units) represented roughly 88% of total exports in 2021. The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per unit in 2021, picking up by 4.9% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 12%. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the maximum in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per unit), while Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, surging by 9.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a mild curtailment. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($X per unit), while Ukraine ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
