The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +82.2% against 2012 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 27% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, vacuum cleaner with motor exports soared to $X in 2021. In general, exports posted prominent growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 23%. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

Exports by Country

Romania was the key exporting country with an export of about X tons, which reached 45% of total exports. Poland (X tons) took a 19% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Slovakia (9.8%), Hungary (8.9%) and the Czech Republic (6.6%). The following exporters - Russia (X tons) and Belarus (X tons) - together made up 7.1% of total exports.

Exports from Romania increased at an average annual rate of +18.1% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Belarus (+56.4%), Slovakia (+20.3%), Russia (+19.4%), the Czech Republic (+12.2%) and Poland (+7.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Belarus emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of +56.4% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Hungary (-11.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Romania, Slovakia, Belarus, Russia and the Czech Republic increased by +27, +6.4, +2.7, +2.7 and +2.3 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Poland ($X), Romania ($X) and Hungary ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, together comprising 61% of total exports. Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Russia and Belarus lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 31%.

Belarus, with a CAGR of +53.7%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

In 2021, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 13% against the previous year. Over the last nine-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.2%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (+8.6%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Based on 2021 figures, vacuum cleaner with motor import price increased by +71.4% against 2015 indices. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
