In 2022, Poland (X units) represented the key exporter of vacuum vessels, committing 44% of total exports. The Czech Republic (X units) took a 20% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Hungary (9.6%), Romania (9.4%) and Belarus (7.2%). Russia (X units) and Slovakia (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Exports from Poland increased at an average annual rate of +26.0% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Romania (+77.5%), Belarus (+69.5%), Hungary (+22.5%), Slovakia (+8.5%) and Russia (+6.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Romania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of +77.5% from 2012-2022. By contrast, the Czech Republic (-1.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Poland, Romania, Belarus and Hungary increased by +31, +9.3, +7.1 and +6 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest vacuum vessel supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 50% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the Czech Republic ($X), with a 17% share of total exports. It was followed by Romania, with a 15% share.

In Poland, vacuum vessel exports increased at an average annual rate of +35.3% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Czech Republic (+10.5% per year) and Romania (+93.3% per year).

In 2022, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, waning by -5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 33%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

The import price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per unit in 2022, picking up by 1.7% against the previous year. Import price indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, vacuum vessel import price increased by +89.5% against 2014 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the import price increased by 17% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per unit), while Ukraine ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
