The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the export price increased by 13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

While the share of Hungary (+8.3 p.p.), Poland (+6.2 p.p.), Bulgaria (+4.8 p.p.) and Romania (+2.5 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Estonia (-2 p.p.), Ukraine (-2.9 p.p.) and Russia (-22 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest window, wall, or split air conditioning system importing markets in Eastern Europe were Russia ($X), Poland ($X) and Bulgaria ($X), with a combined 55% share of total imports. Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Estonia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 35%.

Hungary, with a CAGR of +21.8%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
