Lithuania (X units) took the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by the Czech Republic (X units) and Slovakia (X units). All these countries together held near 36% share of total exports. Ukraine (X units), Belarus (X units), Latvia (X units) and Romania (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Exports from Poland increased at an average annual rate of +10.9% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Latvia (+14.8%), Romania (+12.6%), Ukraine (+11.9%), Lithuania (+11.6%) and the Czech Republic (+10.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Latvia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of +14.8% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Slovakia (-4.8%) and Belarus (-11.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Poland, Lithuania and the Czech Republic increased by +13, +6.6 and +1.8 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest wooden office furniture supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising 48% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Lithuania ($X), with a 22% share of total exports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with a 9.6% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Poland amounted to +10.8%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Lithuania (+12.7% per year) and the Czech Republic (+13.1% per year).

Total imports indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 34%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per unit), while Ukraine ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
