From 2017 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
In 2022, Burkina Faso (X tons), distantly followed by Ghana (X tons), Sierra Leone (X tons) and Guinea (X tons) were the major exporters of decaffeinated coffee, together achieving X% of total exports. Senegal (X tons) took a relatively small share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Burkina Faso (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline in the exports figures.

In value terms, decaffeinated coffee imports contracted significantly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a mild downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Senegal was the key importing country with an import of around X tons, which resulted at X% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Nigeria (X tons), Burkina Faso (X tons), Cote d'Ivoire (X tons) and Ghana (X tons), together mixing up a X% share of total imports. The following importers - Gambia (X tons) and Guinea-Bissau (X tons) - together made up X% of total imports.
Imports into Senegal increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Burkina Faso (X%), Guinea-Bissau (X%), Nigeria (X%), Ghana (X%) and Cote d'Ivoire (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Burkina Faso emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in ECOWAS, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Gambia (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period.
