Cote d'Ivoire was the largest exporter of rigid tubes, pipes and hoses of polymers of vinyl chloride in ECOWAS, with the volume of exports accounting for X tons, which was near 70% of total exports in 2022. Ghana (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Togo (X tons). All these countries together took near 23% share of total exports. Senegal (X tons) and Guinea (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

In value terms, Cote d'Ivoire ($X) remains the largest vinyl chloride polymer rigid pipes supplier in ECOWAS, comprising 65% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Ghana ($X), with a 20% share of total exports. It was followed by Senegal, with an 8.7% share.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 19%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
