The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

Cote d'Ivoire was the main exporter of soap and detergents in ECOWAS, with the volume of exports accounting for X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. Ghana (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Senegal (X tons) and Nigeria (X tons). All these countries together held near X% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to soap and detergent exports from Cote d'Ivoire stood at X%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to soap and detergent imports into Ghana stood at X%. At the same time, Gambia (X%), Guinea (X%), Cote d'Ivoire (X%), Niger (X%), Mali (X%), Burkina Faso (X%) and Nigeria (X%) displayed positive paces of growth.
