Ghana was also the fastest-growing in terms of the turbo-jets of a thrust exceeding X kn imports, with a CAGR of +28.2% from 2012 to 2021. Cote d'Ivoire experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. Mali (-7.4%), Burkina Faso (-18.1%) and Nigeria (-19.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Ghana (+76 p.p.), Mali (+2.7 p.p.) and Cote d'Ivoire (+2.1 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Nigeria saw its share reduced by -7.9% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Burkina Faso ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported turbo-jets of a thrust exceeding X kn in ECOWAS, comprising 84% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Ghana ($X), with a 6.2% share of total imports. It was followed by Mali, with a 4.7% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Burkina Faso amounted to +25.2%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Ghana (+47.7% per year) and Mali (+21.3% per year).
