Paraguay, with a CAGR of +499.2%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average perfume export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, with an increase of 11% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the average export price increased by 54%. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Paraguay ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+15.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, perfume imports into Ecuador dropped rapidly to X tons, which is down by -15.5% on 2021. In general, imports continue to indicate a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of 44% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, perfume imports reduced markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a abrupt slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 61%. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

China (X tons), Colombia (X tons) and Poland (X tons) were the main suppliers of perfume imports to Ecuador, with a combined 77% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for China (with a CAGR of +29.1%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline.
In value terms, the largest perfume suppliers to Ecuador were Colombia ($X), France ($X) and Spain ($X), with a combined 66% share of total imports. Brazil, Poland, China, the United States, Peru, Sweden and India lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 28%.
