Libya (X tons) was the main destination for butter and dairy spreads exports from Egypt, with a 51% share of total exports. The United States (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 19% share.

Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from New Zealand stood at -9.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Uruguay (+9.6% per year) and Turkey (+71.4% per year).
