In 2021, imports of other cerealses into Egypt declined rapidly to X tons, which is down by -20.1% on the year before. In general, imports showed a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 469%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, other cereals imports fell to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded strong growth.
