Jordan (X tons), Libya (X tons) and Saudi Arabia (X tons) were the main destinations of cheese and curd exports from Egypt, with a combined 43% share of total exports. The United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Iraq, Kuwait and Russia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 50%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Russia (with a CAGR of +157.6%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of cheese and curd decreased by -32.9% to X tons, falling for the third consecutive year after two years of growth. In general, imports showed a drastic downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by 33% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
