The exports peaked at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, pimenta pepper exports soared to $X in 2022. In general, exports saw a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 3,919%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

Algeria (X tons), Pakistan (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main destinations of pimenta pepper exports from Egypt, with a combined 61% share of total exports.
