Imports into Egypt
In 2022, after six years of growth, there was decline in purchases abroad of marble and travertine, when their volume decreased by -0.4% to X tons. Overall, imports, however, enjoyed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 118% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, leveling off in the following year.
