The Egyptian crane market dropped to $X in 2022, shrinking by -8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, consumption, however, continues to indicate a noticeable decrease. As a result, consumption reached the peak level of $X. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of the market remained at a somewhat lower figure.

As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

China (X units), Germany (X units) and the United States (X units) were the main suppliers of crane imports to Egypt, with a combined 59% share of total imports. Japan, Italy, France, Thailand, Turkey, India, Austria, the UK and the United Arab Emirates lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 33%.

In 2022, the average crane import price amounted to $X per unit, with a decrease of -22% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 34%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit, and then declined rapidly in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($X per unit), while the price for France ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
