In value terms, duck and goose meat exports dropped remarkably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by 622% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2021, and then fell rapidly in the following year.
Exports by Country
Kuwait (X tons) was the main destination for duck and goose meat exports from Egypt, with a 92% share of total exports. Moreover, duck and goose meat exports to Kuwait exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Bahrain (X tons), more than tenfold.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Kuwait stood at +30.2%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Bahrain (+15.6% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (+0.3% per year).
In value terms, Kuwait ($X) remains the key foreign market for duck and goose meat exports from Egypt, comprising 92% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Bahrain ($X), with a 4.5% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Kuwait amounted to +23.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Bahrain (+23.4% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (+8.1% per year).

The average duck and goose meat export price stood at $X per ton in 2022, waning by -29.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a noticeable shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 61% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+7.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports into Egypt
In 2022, approx. X kg of duck and goose meat were imported into Egypt; which is down by -62.3% against the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports saw a deep reduction.
