In 2021, Turkey (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of non-alloy steel i-sections to Egypt, with a 64% share of total imports. Moreover, non-alloy steel i-sections imports from Turkey exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Bahrain (X tons), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was held by the United Arab Emirates (X tons), with a 12% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Turkey amounted to +82.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Bahrain (-11.1% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (+23.0% per year).
