Mixed Juices Market Size in Egypt

The Egyptian mixed juices market dropped to $X in 2022, which is down by -5.1% against the previous year. Overall, the total consumption indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.8% over the last decade. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 63% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, mixed juices exports dropped to $X in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated a mild expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +3.6% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by 40% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Yemen (X tons), Oman (X tons) and Libya (X tons) were the main destinations of mixed juices exports from Egypt, with a combined 46% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Oman (with a CAGR of +228.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for mixed juices exported from Egypt were Yemen ($X), Libya ($X) and Palestine ($X), together accounting for 43% of total exports. The United States, Mauritania, Somalia, Sudan, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Italy, the Netherlands and the UK lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 31%.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Somalia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Oman ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, the amount of mixtures of fruit and vegetable juices imported into Egypt soared to X tons, rising by 29% compared with the previous year. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a perceptible slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 187%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, mixed juices imports soared to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a noticeable slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 110%. Saudi Arabia (X tons), Denmark (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) were the main suppliers of mixed juices imports to Egypt, with a combined 98% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Greece, which accounted for a further 2.1%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Greece (with a CAGR of +46.5%), while imports for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
