The exports peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, total exports indicated a noticeable increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +88.6% against 2020 indices. The exports peaked at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Iraq (X tons), Russia (X tons) and Saudi Arabia (X tons) were the main destinations of non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified exports from Egypt, with a combined 75% share of total exports. Kuwait, Sudan, Malaysia and Bahrain lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 13%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Malaysia (with a CAGR of +56.5%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Iraq ($X), Russia ($X) and Saudi Arabia ($X) were the largest markets for non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified exported from Egypt worldwide, together accounting for 75% of total exports. Kuwait, Sudan, Malaysia and Bahrain lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 13%.
Malaysia, with a CAGR of +50.7%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a buoyant expansion. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Iraq ($X per ton) and Russia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($X per ton) and Sudan ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Iraq (+4.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Overall, imports continue to indicate a abrupt downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 321% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tons in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, non-citrus fruits not elsewhere classified imports expanded significantly to $X in 2022. In general, imports recorded a perceptible descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 122% against the previous year. The second position in the ranking was taken by Portugal ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by Peru, with an 11% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from the Netherlands totaled +37.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Portugal (+7,475.5% per year) and Peru (+6.1% per year).
