In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of process control, gate, globe and other valves, when their volume decreased by -36.4% to X tons. Overall, exports recorded a deep reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 405%. Over the period under review, the exports of reached the maximum at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, exports of process control, gate, globe and other valves reduced rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, exports continue to indicate a abrupt contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by 198% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports of hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Iraq (X tons), Spain (X tons) and Saudi Arabia (X tons) were the main destinations of exports of process control, gate, globe and other valves from Egypt, together comprising 78% of total exports.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of process control, gate, globe and other valves was finally on the rise to reach X tons after five years of decline. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 50% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, imports of process control, gate, globe and other valves rose significantly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw a mild setback.
