Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, hand stamp exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when exports increased by 733% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Saudi Arabia (X units) was the main destination for hand stamp exports from Egypt, with a 55% share of total exports. Moreover, hand stamp exports to Saudi Arabia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Sudan (X units), twofold.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Sudan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Saudi Arabia (+3.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Imports into Egypt
In 2022, supplies from abroad of stamps for use in the hand decreased by -30.2% to X units, falling for the sixth consecutive year after five years of growth. Overall, imports saw a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 44%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, hand stamp imports reduced rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 55%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Austria (X units), China (X units) and Turkey (X units) were the main suppliers of hand stamp imports to Egypt, with a combined 83% share of total imports. Germany, the United States and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 12%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by the United States (with a CAGR of +34.3%), while imports for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
In value terms, Austria ($X), China ($X) and Turkey ($X) were the largest hand stamp suppliers to Egypt, together comprising 84% of total imports. Germany, the United States and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 12%.

Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2021, and then declined in the following year.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from Austria ($X per unit) and China ($X per unit), while the price for Italy ($X per unit) and Turkey ($X per unit) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+29.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
