The Egyptian hand stamp market shrank markedly to $X in 2022, with a decrease of -33.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, hand stamp exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when exports increased by 733% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, hand stamp imports reduced rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 55%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Austria (X units), China (X units) and Turkey (X units) were the main suppliers of hand stamp imports to Egypt, with a combined 83% share of total imports. Germany, the United States and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 12%.
