The Egyptian television receiver market rose slightly to $X in 2022, with an increase of 3.4% against the previous year. In general, consumption, however, recorded a pronounced setback. The United Arab Emirates (X units), Saudi Arabia (X units) and Slovakia (X units) were the main destinations of television receiver exports from Egypt, with a combined 47% share of total exports. Morocco, Iraq, Jordan, Turkey, Israel, Algeria, Libya, Kenya and Kuwait lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 38%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Algeria (with a CAGR of +131.9%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

For the fourth consecutive year, Egypt recorded decline in purchases abroad of television receivers, which decreased by -21.3% to X units in 2022. Overall, imports saw a abrupt setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 487% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
