Curtains Market Size in Estonia

In 2022, the Estonian curtains market decreased by -11.4% to $X, falling for the second year in a row after five years of growth. In general, consumption, however, recorded a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 24%. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Sweden (X square meters), Finland (X square meters) and Russia (X square meters) were the main destinations of curtains exports from Estonia, together comprising 92% of total exports.

Imports into Estonia

After six years of growth, overseas purchases of curtains and interior blinds decreased by -1.4% to X square meters in 2022. In general, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 26% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X square meters. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, curtains imports rose slightly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a strong expansion. In 2022, China (X square meters) constituted the largest supplier of curtains to Estonia, accounting for a 57% share of total imports. Moreover, curtains imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Poland (X square meters), threefold.
