Belgium (X tons), Guatemala (X tons) and the UK (X tons) were the main destinations of processed petroleum oils and distillates exports from Estonia, with a combined 26% share of total exports. Denmark, Norway, the United States, Canada, Argentina, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia, Ecuador and Namibia lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 29%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Argentina (with a CAGR of +166.6%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, the export price enjoyed a slight expansion. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Norway ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ecuador (+8.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, processed petroleum oils and distillates imports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a noticeable downturn. Russia (X tons), Lithuania (X tons) and Finland (X tons) were the main suppliers of processed petroleum oils and distillates imports to Estonia, with a combined 75% share of total imports. Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Poland and Belarus lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 15%.
