In general, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 142%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, graphic papers imports rose modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a mild setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when imports increased by 144%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Indonesia (X tons), India (X tons) and Portugal (X tons) were the main suppliers of graphic papers imports to Ethiopia, with a combined 63% share of total imports. China, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Russia, South Korea and the UK lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 17%.
