In value terms, Spain ($X), Belgium ($X) and Germany ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, together accounting for 70% of total exports. These countries were followed by Finland, the Netherlands, France and Poland, which together accounted for a further 26%.
The Netherlands, with a CAGR of +10.6%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the export price in the European Union amounted to $X per ton, jumping by 31% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the export price increased by 34% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the peak figure at $X per ton in 2014; afterwards, it flattened through to 2021.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, major exporting countries recorded the following prices: in France ($X per ton) and Poland ($X per ton), while Spain ($X per ton) and Finland ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
