In 2021, the EU antimony ore and concentrate market increased by 58% to $X for the first time since 2017, thus ending a three-year declining trend. Over the period under review, consumption, however, showed a pronounced decrease. In 2021, after three years of decline, there was significant growth in overseas purchases of antimony ores and concentrates, when their volume increased by 96% to X tons. In general, imports, however, saw a abrupt slump. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, antimony ore and concentrate imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, recorded a abrupt setback. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Italy prevails in imports structure, recording X tons, which was approx. 96% of total imports in 2021. Greece (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
