Moreover, Austria emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of +6.6% from 2012-2021. Germany and Belgium experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the Netherlands (-1.4%), Spain (-2.7%), the Czech Republic (-3.7%) and Poland (-5.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Over the period under review, the export prices hit record highs at $X per square meter in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per square meter), while the Czech Republic ($X per square meter) was amongst the lowest.

As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
